Guys, I bought my son a used Ligier X-Too for trips to college because it’s more convenient than a moped, especially when it rains. However, yesterday a strange situation occurred: a warning light came on the dashboard that I hadn’t seen before, and the car started responding sluggishly to the accelerator pedal. I checked the oil level — it seems fine — but I would like to fully understand the meaning of all the indicators and the exact maintenance schedule for this specific model, especially since it uses a Lombardini engine, which is quite specialized. Does anyone have a detailed manual that explains brake system servicing and fuse layout for this model? I’d rather not start poking around blindly in such a small vehicle.

Also, could someone point out where exactly the diagnostic port is located inside the cabin so I can reset the error myself, and are there any specific quirks when accessing the battery in case it dies in winter? There is extremely little space under the hood, and I can’t even clearly see the battery terminals or clamps in there.

These little microcars are really economical, but you should really focus on small things such as the CVT and fuel systems. If your engine is having difficulty, the problem might be a dirty air filter or a broken temperature sensor. So, I came across a really good website, ManualMachine, where there is a service manual for LIGIER X-TOO (it is in French though). The diagrams and schematics are quite clear and easy to understand. Generally, the battery is located under the passenger seat or deep in the compartment, so it definitely helps to see it in a diagram first rather than disassembling half of the interior blindly. Btw, did you try to disconnect the battery for several minutes to see if that would reset the problem on the screen?
